Congratulations!
If you’re looking for advice for where to start with your wedding planning, let me first say, congratulations!
In the last month, we've had lots of enquiries from newly engaged couples, excited to start planning for their perfect day. We know from speaking with our couples that a lot of you feel over whelmed with where to start your planning journey.
We recently read that 40% of all engagements take place between December and February, so we thought this would be a great time to share some tips to point you in the right direction.

Enjoy it!
Take some time to enjoy that just engaged feeling! Lots of your family and friends will want to celebrate with you and hear your engagement story.
While lockdown restrictions are in place, why not pull together a gorgeous platter of your favourite foods, pour yourself some lovely drinks and line up your friends and family for an evening of video calls to celebrate?!

Get inspired!
Once you've take some time to celebrate your engagement, it's time to start getting inspired.
- Pinterest -
Pinterest is one of the best places to start with your planning journey. Most wedding suppliers will have Pinterest accounts where they share their own work, and populate lots of gorgeous inspiration boards.
Check out ours below:
The best thing about Pinterest? Once you find an image you love, Pinterest will share with you lots of similar content. This is a great feature to help you explore and develop ideas for your day.
Don't be afraid to share your inspiration boards with your suppliers. It's a really great first step for us in getting to know your style and the sort of design you're looking for, for your day.
- Blogs + Directories -
There are lots and lots of amazing wedding blogs and directories out there, all brimming with dreamy wedding inspiration and a gorgeous selection of suppliers. Some of our favourites include From Brides with Love, Bridal Editor and Festival Brides, who recently featured our ‘tropical luxe’ editorial shoot.
Some directories hand pick their suppliers, saving you time when searching for the best in the business. You can follow them on Instagram for easy access to their latest content.
We're super proud to be listed with:
- Something a little closer to home -
As important as how your wedding will look, is how it will feel. Think about how you like to have parties at home - do you love a formal dinner or a relaxed feast? Also, think about the weddings you have attended and what elements you loved. This is not about copying the weddings you've been to, but exploring the elements you noticed and the atmosphere you loved, and finding ways to reflect that in your plans.
